Mitsubishi Strada tops 4WD pickup segment

Mitsubishi Strada has undoubtedly proved its market leadership after dominating the 4-Wheel Drive pickup segment out of its remarkable sales performance for the past 2007.

With the addition of the 4x2 Strada models launched last August 2007, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. has increased the total Strada sales by 128 percent versus its performance in 2006. It has sold a total of 2,429 units representing 27 percent share in the total pick up segment.

Adding to the Strada’s triumph is its 4x4 model wherein it has captured 52 percent of the total 4x4 pickups. The total pickup sales in 2007 were 8,947 implying an outstanding 37% increase as compared to the year 2006.

“The upgrade on the Strada is in line with our direction of ensuring the highest quality level and maintaining a stance of offering excellent value for money for our vehicles. We believe that the Strada is the best value pick up in the market today, especially now that we have also just maintained the prices for 2008”, said by MMPC’s AVP for Marketing Services Froilan Dytianquin.

This year, Mitsubishi Strada is poised to toughen its name with the availability of the 2008 model. The Strada 3.2-liter GLS Sport 4WD models will now feature top-performer 17-inch wheels for a sportier and forceful look along with the upgraded Alpine and JVC audio system.
